Monday.
Oh joy. Another week in Leamington. It could have been worse, it may well have been Watford !
Friday driving out of Rochdale onto the M62 took around half-an-hour, which set the scene for the rest of my drive. On the M56 there was an
accident, on the M6 the traffic was heavy so slow from J12 to the M5 turnoff. Arrived home at 7.30, too late for the track but I doubt if I would have gone after such a horrible drive.
David was really hyper after ahe arrived home from his trip, he was really buzzing with excitement. He rock climbed on Milestone Buttress on Tryfan and climbed Glyder Fach, did canoeing and went on a dry ski slope. And camped out one night. Excellent ! And he enjoyed it and wants me to take him
walking in the mountains ! No problem ! We'll go to Cadair Idris, Kinder Scout, Snowdon, the list is endless of places where I can drive to and from, plus do a 5/6 hour walk in one day. Maybe getting David up at 0400 might be a problem !
Saturday it was cool first thing, went out at 12.00. Rubery, Cutnall Green (Take care spelling that one) the gated road ! Last went along that in 1988 or maybe earlier ! Thats 15 years ago ! It does seem a long time back now. Then the narrow track from Wychbold. Went to Sainsburys got 3 bottles of beer and 1 of wine and some tea lights. Put the lights around the garden and sat out, but kept going in to watch Glastonbury on telly. Excellent. Saw Idlewild, with the singer seeming a little bit pissed.
Sunday lazed around in the morning, Dad for dinner then had the runs. Went out around Alvechurch, Storrage, by the motorway junction to Lakes. But near the end of the ride at the lane coming out on the Man-in-the-Moon road I had to stop and crap as it was really fizzing away. Ugh.
Felt pretty tired in the evening.
